We had a very enjoyable Art Week 2009 based around the theme 'Love Where You Live'. The children worked with representatives of the Kent High Weald Project, finding out about the history of the Weald and how we can work to preserve and care for our environment. We enjoyed a visit from the artist Stuart Simler, who worked with the children to create large scale pieces on large canvases, which are now permanently on display in our hall. These were based on the environment surrounding the school.
Another local artist, Tom Tiffin, showed children how to use Photoshop to create art based on photographs taken in the local environment. They produced some pretty exciting and inspiring artistic representations of local features.
