School ProspectusThe school is housed in a purpose built, modern building first opened in 1985 and set in beautiful grounds. It is situated within easy walking distance of the town centre of Cranbrook. There are 7 well-equipped classrooms in the school all with interactive whiteboards. The school hall is used for assemblies, performances, PE and as a dining hall. There is a separate ICT suite, a well-stocked library and a music room. The extensive grounds provide many opportunities for learning, play and sport and these are used throughout the curriculum as much as possible. The playground is divided into separate areas for reception children, KS1 and KS2. There are large purpose built shades in the playground giving shelter from sun and showers. The KS1 playground is equipped with a climbing frame and slide, sandpit, a small stage and a covered outdoor play area. There is a large playing field for sport and in the summer the children are allowed to play on the grass at playtime. There are also two areas of woodland – the Willow Wood and the Children’s Wood, two ponds and gardens that are used extensively throughout the year. All in all, it’s the perfect environment for children both indoors and outdoors.
